You can always find snow on the slopes as Sunday River has one of the largest snowmaking systems in New England.

All of the eight peak trails inter-connect and return to the Base Lodge:

  • White Cap Peak has some of the most challenging and technical terrain with steeps and glades from the summit while lower down there are beginner trails.
  • Moving east, Locke Mountain is the original 'Sunday River Resort' with trails cut in the late 1950s. The majority of trails are intermediate, including the resort's dedicated competition trail.
  • Barker Mountain has a high-speed quad serving a variety of popular blue and black runs and providing across to other peaks and mountain areas. The famous Right Stuff lives here, and is the most popular black diamond run at the resort.
  • Spruce Peak caters for those that like to cruise along intermediate trails. Spruce also has a mid-mountain Peak Lodge that is great for a pit stop for our school groups!
  • South Ridge is where it all happens! All trails are beginner and the main South Ridge Lodge where our ski groups meet their ski instructors and have lunch.
  • North Peak is home to a variety of great beginner and intermediate runs, some of which are lighted for night skiing during the week.
  • Aurora Peak is a little secluded and great for powder days!
  • Oz is a techincal mountain that challenges the more advanced.
  • Jordan Bowl is famous for the best scenery and the longest runs in resort with all abilities satisified.
  • School ski trips visit Sunday River from December through to late April. With doorstep skiing and seasons ranging from late October to late April, Sunday River is a popular 321ski choice for our schools at all times of the year.

Our accommodation is next to the slopes and of course you can be sure of great food whilst in resort.

This resort offers great value for money and is always popular with our school groups.
